Origin Of Nacho Cheese

One day a poor Mexican farmer leaves to the market with the last dollars he had. Begging for a miracle the man walks takes a short cut to through the valley. As he is walking a yellow cheese wheel suddenly rolls right to his feet. Never seeing a cheese wheel like this he realizes his prayers were answered. He immediately runs home with the wheel to show his family.

That night as they are enjoying the fresh cheese his wife asks "José, what are we going to call this cheess, surely a gift this great deserves unique name."

To which the farmer simply says "Nacho, Nacho cheese."

Never hearing such a word the wife asks him to elaborate, he answers "The whole way I was running home a voice kept yelling 'that's nacho cheese!'"
