A Friend Told This One In An Interview For A College Ambassador Program. Needless To Say, He Was Not Accepted.
A old man walks into a pub, his feet shuffling, his back bent. He drags himself onto a stool and orders a beer. The bartender, as he pours, inquires about the man's gloomy demeanor.
He begins his woeful tail with a slight tremor in his voice.
"Life's been hard to me. This pub we're in now, you know I first opened it? With my own two hands I did. But do they call me a pub-starter? No, no they don't.
"That brick wall that surrounds the nearby park and keeps out the wildlife? That was my handiwork, once. But am I known was the wall-builder? I am not.
"And the bridge, the bridge that connects our town and the next one over, you know who built it? You're looking at him. But am I called a bridge-maker? Certainly not.
"All these things and more I have done for this town, but they will not be my legacy. But I tell ya man, you fuck ONE goat!"
